A few years ago, a locally owned Illinois bank approached GCT about reducing its property tax burden. With over 50 branches and ATMs statewide, the bank knew taking on the appeal process with different rules and different deadlines in different counties would be challenging.
GCT put its expertise and knowledge to work, acquiring an assessment history for each of the bank’s properties, gathering analysis of the industry in locations where the bank operated, and making a case that some of the locations were overvalued and thus, overtaxed.
Assessment reductions were won in nine counties, saving the bank hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. Once again, GCT’s commitment to delivering successful results was on display.
